WHO WE ARE
Sylvanvale Foundation was formed in 1947 when a group of parents united to form an organisation that would give their children with a disability a better quality of life through access to education and social inclusion.
Today we support over 750 children and adults from a range of cultural backgrounds to live and participate in their community, as they choose.
We are committed to contributing to a community-wide shift in attitudes by:
Increasing awareness that people with a disability have the same fundamental rights as all Australians;
Ensuring, as far as practicable, that people with a disability have the same right to equality as all Australians;
Advocating for people with a disability, and supporting self-advocacy, to experience full inclusion in social, economic, sporting and cultural life within their community.
