Glowing cocktails, fire-eating violinists and artistic ice carving were all on offer at Sylvanvale’s Annual Cocktail Party at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery & Arts Centre on Friday 15 June 2018.
The event raised in excess of $37,000 and means that Sylvanvale is now much closer to its goal of creating a state of the art hub where children with disability can be cared for in beautiful surroundings and have access to fun learning technology, games and sensory spaces.
Guests at Friday’s event included Ms Eleni Petinos, MP, State Member for Miranda; Sutherland Shire Councillor Tom Croucher, representing the Mayor of Sutherland Shire Council and Sutherland Shire Councillor Steve Simpson, representing Club Central. Also in attendance were Sylvanvale’s Chairman Jeff McCarthy, Director David Rafferty, Sylvanvale’s Chief Executive Officer Leanne Fretten, as well as Sylvanvale supporters, families and staff.
A very generous group of individuals and businesses contributed to the event, including major sponsors Total Car Body Repairs, St George Foodservice, Club Central, Westfield Miranda, Singleton Moore Signs, Edmen Staffing Solutions and Hazelhurst Cafe.
Sylvanvale’s Kids Club ensures that school aged children with disability build new skills, socialise and are supported after school, during school holidays and on weekends. Kids Club gives parents of children with disability the opportunity and peace of mind to go to work and get through the multitude of things they need to do every day, just like any other family.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Cocktail Party, and especially our amazing sponsors. Thanks to you, Sylvanvale Kids Club is one step closer to being a place that inspires creativity and imagination for the children that go there – matching the wonderful care they already receive there.
