What We Offer
How James Developed Skills and Friendships at Caringbah Craft Centre

James is a great example of what participants can achieve at Caringbah Craft Centre. James joined the enterprise hub in January 2019 as a recent school-leaver. Wanting a place to come to where he could use his hands, James decided to give the hub a go.

At first, James and his family were a little unsure about whether he had the skills to operate equipment. He was also very shy.

Right from the start, James was made to feel very welcome by the centre’s friendly support team. They looked at his interests, strengths and areas for development, and then worked with James to establish a routine and set up safe work stations.

James has settled in really well and particularly enjoys assembly and painting. He has built a strong bond with the team, and is happy, confident and connected.

In James’ words, “I have fun. It’s great!”
