Welcome to Sylvanvale – Our passion is supporting you to achieve your goals.

Who We Are

Sylvanvale is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service provider committed to providing high quality, customer focused service to the people we support and their families.

Founded in 1947 when a group of parents united to form an organisation that would give their children a better quality of life, Sylvanvale now supports more than 750 children and adults throughout the Sydney metropolitan area and the Blue Mountains to live and participate in the community, as they choose.

Our team is flexible, experienced and love what they do. We work in partnership with you to ensure you have the support you need, when and where you want it.

Who We Are

Our Purpose

Enabling independence for people living with disability.

Our Vision

A community working in partnership to support people with a disability to live the life they choose.

Our Values

Sylvanvale embraces a strong person-centred approach, personal choice and personal outcomes for people and their families. We value:

Belonging

We know that a sense of inclusion is critical to wellbeing. We value culture, community and two-way communication.

Choice

We understand that choice is a fundamental human right and support the right to always exercise choice and control.

Safety

We ensure the physical safety and health of our customers and each other as a priority.

Respect

We honour diversity and difference; through active listening we support our customers and each other to make choices that are right for their individual circumstances.

Contribution

We work with others and value their input as we believe this builds stronger communities and networks to support individuals to achieve their goals.

Our Strategy

There are two significant reforms which underpin our strategy. These are the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the unified approach defined in the Strategy Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021-2031.

We recognise that both the Strategy Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021-2031 and the National Disability Insurance Scheme provide the framework and funding to provide for meaningful change for people with a disability, their families and carers.

We endorse these reforms and are committed to contributing to a community-wide shift in attitudes by:
  • Ensuring, as far as practicable, that people with disability have the same rights to equality as all Australians; and
  • Advocating for people with a disability to experience full inclusion in social, economic, sporting and cultural life within their community.

Sylvanvale will continue to ensure our policies and practices deliver a service that is based on quality, human rights, equality and evidence-based service delivery.
