What is Support Coordination?
Support Coordination helps NDIS participants to make the most of their funding and supports. It is funded by the NDIS.
Once a plan has been approved, we will work with you to determine how your funds are spent and to connect you with providers.
Not every participant receives funding for it, but everyone can ask for it.
How do I know if there’s NDIS Support Coordination in my plan?
Support Coordination is funded under the NDIS Capacity Building Supports budget. You have funding for it if your NDIS plan contains one of the following line items:
How can I get NDIS Support Coordination if I don’t already have it?
You will need to show that you need some help to navigate the NDIS independently if it isn’t currently included in your NDIS plan.
You can ask for it in the following ways:
- Mention it in your NDIS planning meeting
- Request it in your plan reassessment
If the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) considers it to be reasonable and necessary, it will be included in your Capacity Building budget.
