Message from the Chairman
Sylvanvale’s 75th year in operation has been one of success and progress.
We continued to work with the Federal Government through Alliance20, to help shape the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) so that it meets the needs of the people we support and remains a viable and sustainable scheme into the future.
As part of our commitment to being an employer of choice, we offered flexible employment options for our staff.
To ensure our services are aligned with the needs and expectations of the people we support, families and carers, we established our Facing Forward community engagement forums, which give a voice to our community.
We’ve achieved a positive financial performance and made significant gains in reducing the number of agency staff we utilise. This has helped to create greater consistency in the level of service we provide.
On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank our passionate and talented employees for their commitment in driving Sylvanvale’s success. Thank you also to my fellow Board members and to Chief Executive Officer, Leanne Fretten, and the entire Sylvanvale management team, for your collaboration and commitment.
Lastly, and most importantly, I’d like to thank the people we support, our families and carers, for the trust you’ve shown in our direction and leadership.
I’m excited for the future we all share as we build upon strong foundations to create better outcomes for people with disability.
