The People Living Here
Current housemates include women and men.
Residents are aged 25–69.
Housemates are mostly verbal and one is non-verbal and communicates using gestures or a communication aid.
Housemates have their own network, interests and activities that they pursue individually with the support of staff.
Housemates attend local community participation programs. Two housemates attend work.
There are opportunities for housemates to socialise and engage in special events in the house and/or in the community if they choose to.
Staff take a Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) approach to ensure housemates are involved in their daily living and household activities.
There are authorised restrictive practices at this house as some housemates require additional support to stay safe.
Support Available
This house provides 24/7 support, including active night support.
Staff supporting individuals within this service have skills and competencies in: Mental Health, Autism, Drugs and Alcohol, Trauma, Sensory Management, Epilepsy Management, Allergy Management, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and PCAS.
Access to a fully maintained modified vehicle, for transport within a 30km radius of the house. Annual fee applies.
