The People Living Here

The housemates are independent people aged 30 to 50 years.

Housemates use some words and gestures to communicate and one housemate uses a communication aid.
Each of the current housemates attends community participation programs.
Housemates have interests and activities that they pursue individually, with the support of staff.
There are opportunities for housemates to socialise and engage in special events in the house and/or in the community if they choose to.
Staff take a Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) approach in their daily living and household activities.
There are authorised restrictive practices in place at this house as some housemates require additional support to stay safe.

Support Available

The property is staffed by a stable, knowledgeable and experienced mix of female and male team members.

Staff have skills and competencies in Autism, Positive Behaviour Support, Epilepsy Management, Mental Health First Aid, Prada Willi Syndrome, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and PCAS.
24/7 support, including active night support.
Access to a fully maintained modified vehicle, for transport within a 30km radius of the house (annual fee applies).
