The People Living Here
Current housemates include women and men.
Housemates are aged 45–75.
One housemate is verbal and three are non-verbal and communicates using gestures or a communication aid.
Each of the current housemates attend community participation programs.
Each housemate has their own network, interests and activities that they pursue individually with the support of staff.
There are opportunities for housemates to socialise and engage in special events in the house and/or in the community if they choose to.
Staff take a Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) approach in their daily living and household activities.
There are authorised restrictive practices in place at his house as some housemates require additional support to stay safe.
Support Available
This house provides 24/7 support, including active night support.
Staff supporting individuals within this service have skills and competencies in Autism, Ageing, Positive and Complex Behaviour Support, Epilepsy Management, Allergy Management, Sensory Management, Meal Time Management, Mental Health and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Access to a fully maintained modified vehicle, for transport within a 30km radius of the house. Annual fee applies.
