The home would be a good fit for a mature person who enjoys a calm environment.

Has or is eligible for NDIS Supported Independent Living funding or Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) funding.
Requires basic, or above, Specialist Disability Accommodation funding.
Wants active night support.

The People Living Here

The housemates are friendly and mature and enjoy a quiet, serene environment.

Current housemates include women and men.
Housemates are aged in their 50’s.
The housemates are verbal and non-verbal, with one person communicating using gestures.
Each of the current housemates attends local community participation programs.
Housemates have their own networks, interests and activities that they pursue with the support of staff.
There are opportunities for housemates to socialise and engage in special events in the house and/or in the community if they choose to.
Staff take a Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) approach to ensure housemates are involved in their daily living and household activities.
There are authorised restrictive practices at this house as some housemates require additional support to stay safe.

Support Available

The property is staffed by a highly trained team of frontline employees, many of whom have been at the site for quite some time. The team takes a person-centred approach in assisting housemates with their daily, independent living.

Staff supporting individuals within this service have skills and competencies in: Diabetes, Medication Administration, Positive Behaviour Support, Trauma, Mental Health, Sensory Management and PCAS.
24/7 support, including active night support.
Access to a fully maintained modified vehicle with a wheelchair hoist, for transport within a 30km radius of the house (annual fee applies).
