Our New Housemate

This home would be a great fit for someone who likes to be independent but requires supports in acts of daily living.

Able to live with other people.
Needs some support with daily living (eg attending appointments, help with medication management).
Wants active night support.
Has NDIS Supported Independent Living (SIL) funding or Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) funding. 
Has basic, or above, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding.

The People Living Here

The housemates enjoy living independently, while having the support they need to be safe and well.

Current housemates include women and men.
Housemates are aged 45–85.
All housemates are verbal.
Some of the current housemates attend local community participation programs.
Each housemate has their own network, interests and activities that they pursue individually and with the support of staff where needed.
There are opportunities for housemates to socialise and engage in special events in the house and/or in the community if they choose.

Support Available

The property is staffed by a highly trained team who are committed to supporting the housemates to live the life they choose.

Each housemate decides the level of care they want.
Staff are on hand to provide assistance where required, including taking housemates to appointments.
Staff supporting individuals within this service have skills and competencies in mental health, trauma, medication management, diabetes awareness and PCAS.
24/7 support, including active night support.
